The St. Ignace Varsity Cheer Squad consists of 8 to 24 girls in grades 9-12. Susan Horn is the coach.

During the fall season, cheerleaders cheer at all varsity football games, home and away, and during the winter season, cheerleaders cheer at all varsity basketball games, both boys and girls games.  Cheerleaders will also cheer at all basketball and football tournament games.

Tryouts for cheerleading is for girls in grades 8-11 and is held some time in May. Practice is weekly over the summer. Cheerleaders normally attend UCA Cheer Camp at Michigan State University for 3 days in late July or early August.
