Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!

My name is Nichole Martin and I am your High School Principal and Athletic Director. This is my 23rd year in our school district. I was born and raised in St.Ignace. After graduating from Lasalle High School in 1995, I attended Central Michigan University and earned a B.S. In elementary education with a major in child development and a minor in math, along with a ZA Endorsement in Early Childhood Education. Several years after earning my bachelor's degree I continued my education and earned a master's degree from Marygrove College while earning a learning disabilities endorsement from Northern Michigan University.

My husband & I live in St.Ignace along with our 4 children. My husband works out of Petoskey as a UPS driver. Our oldest son is 22 years old, and our "middle child" is our only daughter; she is 18 years old and is a freshman at North Central Michigan College. We also have 16-year-old identical twin boys who are juniors in high school. It's amazing watching our kids continue to grow before our very eyes on a daily basis.
