My Background:

I was born and raised in the northern Lower Peninsula. I grew up in Mancelona. I graduated from Mancelona High School in June of 1999 and went to college at Central Michigan University from the fall of 1999 through the fall of 2004. When I graduated from CMU, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with Majors in both Mathematics and Physical Science. I've since received a Master in the Art of Teaching degree from Marygrove College.

My teaching background includes student teaching at Traverse City Central High School in the fall of 2004. After student teaching, I held two long term substitute teaching positions. One was at Mancelona Middle School in the spring 2005. The other was at Forest Area High School in the spring of 2006.

In the fall of 2006 I was hired at St. Ignace Area Schools and have worked at the middle school, high school, and detention center.

Since being hired at St. Ignace Area Schools, I've been a Ski Club and Robotics Advisor. I've also been a Student Council Advisor at both the Middle School and LaSalle High School.

During the 2024 - 2025 school year, I will be teaching Geometry, Algebra II, FST, and Physical Science.
