•    Hello!!  My name is Mandi Davis.  I am currently in my 12th year of teaching and I am very excited to continue my teaching career at St. Ignace Area Schools.  I have lived in the St. Ignace area all my life and I have gone to St. Ignace Area Schools from preschool to the 12th grade.  I have enjoyed growing up in a small community with a friendly environment my entire life.
After graduating from LaSalle High School in 2002, I attended Lake Superior State University.  While  attending LSSU, I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and minors in History and Sociology.  I also played on the Women's University Basketball Team at LSSU.  I graduated in the Fall of 2006 and finished my student teaching internship in December of 2007.  I completed my second semester of student teaching at St. Ignace Middle School in the 6th grade.  I then began teaching 6th grade Math and Language Arts for four years and I am currently in my eighth year of teaching 3rd grade.  I also received my Masters Degree in Reading in December of 2013.
Since I have been teaching in St. Ignace, I have coached Elementary Basketball, Junior Varsity Basketball and Junior High Track.  I have a husband, Paul Davis II, who is a Mackinac County Sheriff Deputy and we have a 1 year old son named Johnson. I also enjoy hunting, fishing and riding my dune buggy, four-wheeler and snowmobile.  I have 3 dogs, a Weimaraner named Jonesy, a Chocolate Lab named CaBella and a German Shorthair Pointer named Oakleigh.  I have been busy training them and I look forward to taking them out bird hunting this fall.
